Christmas Song Of The Day: "A Christmas Duel" - The Hives vs Cyndi Lauper

It's December and as a devotee to all things Holiday I thought I'd roll out some of my favorite Christmas/Winter music throughout the month. Check back every day for tracks old, new, classic and unique. Happy Holidays!

Sometimes the sounds of the holidays can get a little cloying, with sleigh bells and chimes coming out the wazoo and enough lyrics about love and snowflakes to freeze one's balls off. Once and a while you need something a little irreverent and NSFW to brush off the tinsel for a moment.

"A Christmas Duel" has that old school rock n roll Christmas sound like "Run, Run, Rudolph" but with a sassy twist - these yuletide lovers are over it! Cyndi Lauper and The Hives give each other a little Bronx cheer before deciding to "spend, spend, spend this Christ-Christmas together" ...at least for now.
