I've been remiss in posting St. Vincent-related news. I do apologize. Her flawed Marry Me was one of my favorite albums of 2007 but I hear the new disc, Actor, is even better. The lead single "Actor Out Of Work" is wonky, fuzzed out guitar magic with Annie Clark's multi-layered vocals stealing the show. The video is acting class 101, Annie walks into a warehouse full of actors (probably out of work) and makes them cry. Perhaps her overly dramatic lipsynch was too much insane beauty to handle?
