3.12 Offer A "Bold New Song" On CD

Local band 3.12 have a mission statement: "Healing music for wounded souls." The CCM/adult contemporary trio have released their second hard-copy CD single, this time with original music. "Bold New Song" has been a concert staple, but this is the first time it's been available in a studio version.

The song is great, carrying on in the male/female vocal traditions of Christian bands like Avalon and Truth. The studio quality is really awesome, all the fun tricks that you can do with echoes and distortions are well edited, and reveal another layer of power in the song. The lyrics really speak to those who have become disenfranchised by certain evangelical organizations who vilify people instead of love them. I'm really pleased to be able to add this song to my iPod's summer playlist.
